Start to Finish

Here's a step-by-step guide on what happens from getting in touch to collecting your wedding album, and everything in between!

CHECK MY AVAILABILITY

The very first thing we need to do is check I have your wedding date available. If I am already booked I will recommend local photographers to you, and if I'm available I place your date under reservation for the next 4 weeks.

ARRANGE A CONSULTATION

Meeting in person gives us a great chance to discuss your plans and make sure we are a good fit for each other. I like to meet you both in person wherever possible, but we can do a phone consultation if you are long distance.

TIME TO THINK

I will never put you under pressure to make an on-the-spot decision. After your 4 week reservation period is up, I'll send an e-mail to ask if you would like to go ahead with your booking, or if you have made alternative arrangements.

SECURING YOUR BOOKING

After confirming you would like to book me as your wedding photographer, I'll send a digital wedding contract and invoice for the booking retainer fee. Once I have both of these, your booking is secure!

SOCIAL MEDIA - LETS BE FRIENDS!

If we aren't Facebook friends already, I'd like to add you as a friend. It's a great way of keeping updated with your wedding plans and life in general, plus it opens up another line of communication between us. I regularly update my page with recent work too!

BLOGS AND UPDATES

In the run up to your wedding day, I may send you links to relevant blog posts I've written, particularly if I've recently covered another wedding at your venue or a similar type of wedding to yours. I'll also send any updates on new products and information on putting your shot list together.

ARRANGING OUR FINAL CATCH-UP

Around 6-8 weeks before your wedding I like to arrange another in-person meeting if possible. This is to go over your plans in more detail, and for us to run through the shot list. Wedding plans can change over the course of a year or two, so its great to check I'm up-to-date.

YOUR WEDDING TIMELINE

The wedding timeline is a document I put together and covers your wedding day from my perspective - basically what I will be photographing and when I will be photographing it! It contains your plans and timings, the shot list and any other requests.

THE BIG DAY IS HERE!

Wow, it's finally here! Today is the day you see all those weeks and months of planning finally come together, and we have the most amazing day with you, your friends and family. This is naturally my favourite part of the proceedings!

IT'S EDITING TIME

After your big day it is time for me to begin developing your photographs. Even though I work digitally, I still edit each individual photograph and develop it from a digital negative by checking exposure, colours, cropping and other adjustments to give them my professional finish.

YOUR VIEWING APPOINTMENT

Around 2-3 weeks after your wedding I will be in touch to arrange a viewing of your photographs. I'll load up your slideshow in my viewing room which is fully equipped with large TV, tissues and sweeties, and let you see your photos in style. Your USB will be ready to take home straight away too!

YOUR PHOTO ALBUM/S

I like to design the first draft of your wedding album by using my design knowledge to really tell the story of your day using my favourite photos. I will e-mail the draft to you, and you are welcome to request as many changes as you need to make your album 100% perfect. Once ordered, your album & canvas will arrive within 3 weeks.
