Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving at the studio too early might mean a short wait outside the premises until your allocated appointment time. If you are running late, please call us on 01382 220153 as soon as possible and please be aware that this may shorten the amount of time available for your photoshoot or viewing depending on our schedule. All under 18 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.

BOOKING RETAINER FEE

You will be required to make a booking retainer payment upon setting your confirmed date and timeslot. A date and time will not be reserved for your photo session until a retainer payment has been made. This amount is usually the cost of your photography session and any additional beauty treatments you would like. Any albums/prints or other products can be paid for after your photo session upon ordering the products from us. Payments can be made by PayPal invoice via e-mail, cash, cheque or debit/credit card.

AMENDING APPOINTMENTS

If you need to change your appointment please contact us as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours notice where possible. Any no-show appointments will not be refunded however we will be happy to rearrange your appointment should you give us prior notice for unavoidable circumstances e.g. death of family member, car accident, sickness etc. Rearranged appointments will be subject to availability as due to demand weekend appointments are extremely limited.

MAKEOVER/BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOTS

Please make us aware if you have any known allergies, not just allergies relating to make-up application or products. Although we take every effort to make sure our products and equipment are safe to use, Memento Studios and its staff will not be held responsible for any allergic reaction to the makeup products we use or injury or damage caused by hairstyling equipment.

If you are unhappy with how your hair or makeup has been styled, please let us know during your session when we still have the ability to adjust it. Any issues with hair & makeup styling raised after the photo session will not be refunded or adjusted during the photo-editing process.

AT YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

We aim to make you feel very comfortable and relaxed during your photoshoot. We will demonstrate poses and ask you to pose using techniques that will help get the best shot. If at any time you are unhappy or uncomfortable with any of the poses, please let us know and you can choose how you wish to pose. We are of course very open to trying your own ideas and poses.

VIEWING YOUR PHOTOS

We aim to have your photos available to view via a password-protected online proofing gallery within 24 hours of having your photoshoot, and within 48 hours if your session is on a Saturday. This gallery remains active for 7 days from the date of your gallery going live unless otherwise arranged. Should you require longer than 7 days to place your order, please discuss this with us prior to your photo session. If we have no contact regarding your order within 6 weeks from the date of your session your images will be archived and retrieval will incur a £10 fee to re-activate your gallery. Images may be deleted from our archive after 3 months of inactivity.

Our online gallery contains photographs reduced in size and quality for optimum web viewing and must not be copied/published/altered in any way. To do so is against copyright law and undermines our high quality finished photographs. The images must not be duplicated, published or used in any capacity unless written permission has been obtained by the photographer. A breach of Copyright law will result in an invoice for the used photographs on a per-image basis.

Images we provide on disc come with their own print license giving you permission to make unlimited copies of the photographs, and to share them via e-mail, websites or social media. Images must not be digitally altered or manipulated without our written permission.

SPECIFIC PHOTO REQUESTS

Due to the sheer variety and diversity found at each wedding Memento Studios cannot be held responsible for “missing” photographs of a person or group of people if a specific list has not been provided to the photographer prior to the wedding. We encourage all couples to make a list of photographs they would like and will endeavour to obtain each photograph listed before departing. We cannot be held responsible if a wedding guest declines to participate in the photography, and assigning a member of your bridal party to help us identify wedding guests is very helpful.

RESTRICTIONS

Memento Studios can not be held responsible for any delays or problems caused by the venue, bride & groom, wedding guests or any other persons present such as lateness, absence, or refusal to co-operate by any party. We are subject to proceedings on the day along with any restrictions the venue/s, weather or other wedding suppliers may place upon us.

EDITING/RETOUCHING

Due to the time-consuming nature of image editing techniques and the quantity of photographs provided we do not provide in-depth airbrushing on each individual photograph provided. Every image is carefully adjusted for colours, contrast, exposure and cropping in line with the photographers standard and style however in-depth editing such as blemish removal, skin retouching, tattoo removal and background object removal are not part of our standard wedding photography editing processes and will incur additional charges at the photographers discretion if required.

PHOTOGRAPHY PREVIEW

After your wedding you will be asked to come in to our studio to view your wedding photographs, or provided with an online gallery. The preview is an opportunity to ensure you are happy with the resulting photographs we have provided. Once satisfied and any outstanding balance is cleared you can take your photographs home with you or we can post them to you. Upon leaving the studio with your photographs or accessing your online gallery this confirms our contract fulfilled and any complaints raised after collection/dispatch of your photographs will not result in a full or partial refund. We will of course endeavour to satisfy any complaints made to the best of our ability, and any damaged or faulty products will be replaced.

ORDERING PRINTS/ALBUMS & PRODUCTS

You will be advised of the expected timescale for your chosen products however if you have a particular deadline please let us know as soon as possible as we will do our best to ensure you have your desired products in time wherever possible. An album design proof will be provided by e-mail within 3 weeks of your image selections being submitted to the photographer. Once album orders have been approved and the order placed it can take up to 6 weeks to have the albums delivered back to us in accordance with our suppliers timescales. How to help your Wedding Photographers

This is a short guide on how to ensure your wedding photography goes as smoothly as possible

  • Consult your photographer prior to your wedding about any concerns you may have regarding wedding photography.

  • Keep your photographer informed of any difficult family situations or mobility issues of guests. This will enable us to help avoid any awkwardness on the day of the wedding.

  • Alert your photographer to any changes that may affect their plans on the day such as a change in transport arrangements or ceremony time, or venue change.

  • Should you have any requests to replicate or create specific photographs, discuss this with your photographer prior to your wedding to ensure they are capable of fulfilling this. This also applies to any in-depth editing requests such as tattoo removal.

  • Provide your photographer with a shot list specifying any individual or group photographs that are of high importance to you. Every wedding is different and there’s no safety in assuming your photographer will know the “obvious” photographs to take for your group or individual portraits.

- Help your photographer identify key wedding guests for photographs by assigning a bridal party or family member to assist with finding guests for group shots. This will help save time and avoid missing any important family members.

  • Consider your timeline from your photographers perspective and adjust the number of formal photographs to be taken accordingly. We advise approx 4 minutes per small-medium group shot as it takes time to locate, organise and photograph the guests in each photograph. Larger groups can take 10-15 minutes to arrange, and couple shots of the bride and groom around 15 minutes. If you have two hours between the end of your ceremony and start of your meal this would allow for approximately 15-20 small/medium group shots, 3-4 large group shots and couple shots of the bride & groom.

- Understand that your wedding photographer is your wedding photographer. While we like to help with any aspect of your day to the best of our availability we can only work within the parameters of our own skill set. Asking us to run an errand or perform a task outwith wedding photography may impact on the photography time we have set aside. We cannot accept responsibility for being unable to perform a task outwith our usual wedding services.
